Kids & Youth:

242

It's pretty cool when you realise you're not the only young person with questions about life, you're not the only one who wants to connect with people your own age and you're not the only one who wants to make a difference in this world.
So it's cool when you discover 242 - The Forge's strategy to see lives holistically transformed in young people between the school years of 7 upwards.

Why 242?

They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and to prayers. Everyone around was in awe - all those signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived In a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each persons need was met.
-Acts 2: 44-46 (The Message).

The 242 community aim to live out this Acts 2: 42 dream of journeying through life together. We aim to be holistic offering a wide range of support both spiritually and socially, to the whole community and beyond.

We’re a 242 church longing for 247 results

God's upping the numbers daily, as people are having their lives sorted.
-Acts 2: 47 (The Street Bible).

The other reason for the 242 tag is...well...it's quite a cool name really isn't it?

Getting Involved:

The best way to get involved in 242 is to come along to 242Sunday which meets every Sunday morning at Debenham Leisure Centre or to contact Matt Levett, who runs 242 at or 07725 434242, to ask about it.

242Sunday:

Well first things first, we have breakfast! We then watch a TV show, bit from a film or some music videos. Once we’ve done that we get into groups and discuss what we’ve just watched and compare it to what God says to us in the Bible. This is a chance to look at issues that matter and say what you really think. We want Sunday mornings to be creative and engaging spiritual experience where we learn interactively from each other about God and how to live life His way. (10:30am – 11:45am).

242Midweek:

An inclusive small group of young people that chat, laugh and cry with others (we don’t always cry but chatting and laughing are compulsory). We explore what the Bible has to say about life and then chat about how we can really make it work. We even have a Chihuahua who wants to come along.
